DRA126, Core (Musical Theatre Component). An introduction to the idea of musical theatre text. (fall 2006).

 

DRA200, DRA 201, DRA260 (note: changes of course number, not of content), Musical Theatre Practicum. Analysis, sight-reading, vocal technique and practice of the repertoire. (fall 2006, fall and  spring 2007, 2008, 2009, and spring 2010).

 

DRA 300/DRA 500, Drama Criticism. Weekly attendance of the theatre elicited written drama reviews and in-class discussions elevate the level of discourse about the arts. Taught simultaneously at the undergraduate and graduate levels. (fall 2009).

 

DRA 362, Musical Theatre Scene Study. Students study and perform material from the musical theatre repertoire. (fall 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009).

 

DRA 453, Musical Theatre History. A survey of musical theatre genres, composers, and lyricists, directors, choreographers and performers, from circa 1860 to the present.(spring 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. 2010)

 

Private vocal coaching.  A portion of my teaching load included varying hours of private coaching as needed.  (fall 2006-spring 2010)

 

Syracuse University, Department of Drama Summer College.  For this summer intensive, I taught acting, musical theatre and voice.  (summer 2008, summer 2010).

  • Served on Sorkin Committee 2007-2010, created to select students to spend a week in Los Angeles with SU alum Aaron Sorkin as an introduction to “the business” on the West Coast.

  • Served as library liaison, 2006-2010

  • Attendance of all departmental auditions held in Syracuse.

  • Attendance of national auditions for entrance into Syracuse University, including Chicago and Washington DC (2008 and 2010) and New York and Washington DC (2009).

  • Development of a codified document defining professional conduct to present to all incoming freshmen in collaboration with Craig MacDonald.
